Crusaders Fall To 1-1 In District Play

The IRONDUKES made their trip to post-season this year a little more difficult Friday evening, falling to the Mulvane Wildcats 14-7.

Wellington, going in averaging 376 yds of total offense per game in their previous 7 outings, could only muster 227 yds on Wildcat turf and never found the end zone again after a late first quarter score. (19 yd. pass from Nance to Gilkey).

WELLINGTON HIGH SCHOOL will be one of 8 sites for this Fall's 4A Sub-State Volleyball Tournaments featuring host Wellington, along with Andale, Mulvane and Winfield. Here is the schedule for the "3" Match event which will determine who advances on to the State 4A Tournament next weekend in Salina @ the Bicentennial Center.


Roy Eckert's career spans more than 30 years in municipal management

The Governing Body of the City of Wellington has approved an Employment Agreement with Roy Eckert for the position of Wellington City Manager  The Employment Agreement was approved by the Governing Body at their regular meeting held on October 21.

City Council meets Tuesday, Oct. 21; Resolution for approval of City Manager

The Wellington City Council will be in session Tuesday, October 21, 2014, 6:30 p.m., 317 South Washington.

During the meeting, a Resolution is on the agenda for the approval of employment of Roy Eckert as the new City Manager for the City of Wellington at the annual salary of $100,000.

Eckert is from Montrose, Colorado.
