Deadline: Postmarked by March 15, 2006 Eligibility: Entrants must live in Kansas. There is no requirement for subject matter. Writers competing in the Youth Division must be under 18 or currently enrolled in high school. Entries: Unpublished poetry or short story competition. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable, but writers must notify us immediately if an entry has been accepted elsewhere. No single entry may be longer than 20 pages. All entrants will be notified of the contest winners. Judging: Entries will be judged entirely on literary merit. The reading will be held at Winfield Chamber Office in Winfield, during Kanza Days, April 29, 2006 Winning entries may be published by the Kansas Voices contest, however, writers retain all rights. Titles of all works entered must be listed on the entry form. The writer's name must not appear on the manuscripts. Entry Fee: $3 for each poem or prose submission.
